The Role

The Director of Operations oversees service, install, plumbing, dispatch, and customer experience.

Your mandate is clear:

Strengthen leadership. Install and sustain SOPs. Drive disciplined execution.

You are responsible for turning vision into measurable operational performance — and ensuring growth is structured, profitable, and repeatable.


Leadership Standard

This role requires a leader who builds other leaders — and leads themselves first.

You will operate with significant autonomy. We are not looking to micro-manage an executive. We are looking for someone who sets the standard without needing it set for them.

A strong Director of Operations at Davis Brothers:

Process & Operational Discipline

Equally important: the ability to install and sustain systems.

You must be able to:

  • Build, document, and refine SOPs

  • Ensure processes are consistently followed

  • Implement operational cadence (daily huddles, weekly KPI reviews, monthly planning)

  • Reduce firefighting and variability

  • Create predictability in scheduling, margin, and performance

  • Maintain process integrity as the company grows

What Success Looks Like (First 12–24 Months)

  • Sustain high-growth momentum while improving margin discipline

  • Improve labor efficiency and operational consistency

  • Strengthen KPI discipline across departments

  • Install and sustain SOP compliance

  • Successfully expand plumbing and light commercial

  • Build a replicable operating model for future acquisitions

Qualifications

Required:

  • 7+ years in operations or executive leadership

  • Demonstrated experience installing and sustaining SOPs

  • Experience leading multi-department teams

  • P&L ownership

  • Strong financial and KPI literacy

Strongly Preferred:

  • HVAC, plumbing, or home services background

  • Experience scaling operations past $5M+ revenue

  • Proven process implementation track record
